Kookaburra Outdoor Cinema | November – April
Enjoy a movie immersed in an enchanted forest under the stars at the Kookaburra Outdoor Cinema in Mundaring. Hidden from the hustle and bustle of Perth, the magical cinema screens latest releases, contemporary and international films throughout the summer holidays. The venue can seat up to 310 patrons with room for people to bring their own deckchairs, picnic rugs and beanbags. Note – this venue is cash only!

Rooftop Movies | November – March
Taking outdoor cinemas to another level – level 6 to be precise, the producers of Fringe World Festival and City of Perth Parking present Rooftop Movies located on Roe Street CPP complex, Northbridge. Take a step back in time, as the elevator doors open up to a retro fitted paradise featuring vintage caravans serving tasty pizza’s and wines, beanbags sprawled out and all this whilst being surrounded by our spectacular Perth City skyline.

Northbridge Piazza | All year round
Right in the heart of Northbridge stands a permanent LED screen that is operating 24/7, featuring entertainment of all sorts including films, sport, music and creative presentations. The space is also used for local community events that can include exhibitions, festivals and cultural activities. With the holidays around the corner, you can expect to see Christmas films and carollers as Perth amps up its Christmas spirit!

Somerville Auditorium | February – March
Nestled away amongst the ivy leaves and pine trees at the University of Western Australia is an outdoor cinema experience like no other. The fully licensed venue serves a wide range of foods and beverages, and can accommodate up to 1,000 people seated on either beach chairs or picnic rugs for those hopeless romantics out there. Sponsored by Lottery West Films, expect to see the latest in indie and cultural hits worldwide.

Joondalup Pines Picture Garden | February – March
Sponsored by Lottery West Films, the venue is immersed in the forestry of the Joondalup ECU campus providing a unique outdoor cinema experience. You can choose to either kick back on a beach deckchair or bring your own picnic rug and relax under the stars. To complete the experience, order up a pizza available from their summer menu, grab some wines and kick back and enjoy the movie.

Galaxy Drive-in Theatre | All year round
Galaxy is the only drive-in theatre available in Perth offering a one of a kind viewing experience featuring new releases all year round. The theatre is currently located in Kingsley which is about 20 minutes north of the Perth CBD. Load up the pillows, blankets and snacks and take a step back in time. Note – this venue is cash only!
